Brand Identity
R-House Design
To come up with one’s own identity is hard. At least, I certainly found it a challenge to define an identity that represented me. The task demanded much self-investigation (a sticky process). But the investigation paid off as a simple yet bold letter mark was an excellent match as typography always plays a key role in my design.
I tend to be one of those print design nerds that gets excited with printing techniques, especially ones that emphasize texture, something print does so well but is completely lost with online graphics (ah well). Use your imagination to see the black ink as a raised textured emboss providing a pleasing contrast to the smooth white card surface. The enlarged dot pattern of the landscape photograph references the distinctive moire of ink separation in offset lithography.
